The first photograph in the album is of the Reverend George Adams Joslin (1844-1921). He was Charles Joslin Call's maternal uncle, the brother of his mother Charlotte Joslin (1834-1908) George Adams Joslin was born in Meshaw, Devon, England on April 10, 1844, the son of Robert Bird Joslin (1801-1881) and Mary Ann Adams (1808-1871). He married Mary Whitford Verran (1841-1908) in Reduth, Cornwall, England on September 8, 1873. George and Mary had three children Mary Ann Joslin (1876-1965), George Stanley Joslin (1879-1952) and Elizabeth Verran Joslin (1887-1971). George died on May 6, 1921 in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin. George Adams Joslin became a Methodist minister in the late 1860s in England. He worked in several parishes in Somerset, Kent, Devon and Cornwall between 1868-1879. In 1881, George immigrated to the United States, arriving on January 3, 1881.
