The name under the twenty-seventh photo in the album looks to be Lunette Tyler. I've looked in my database, online, and in a Tyler family history and cannot find a woman named Lunette, or anything close in the family, much less someone likely born in the 1850s or 1860s. Mrs. Henry Knight

Image
The twenty-fifth photograph in the album is identified as Mrs. Henry Knight. I have not been able to place a Mrs. Henry Knight anywhere in the extended families of either Lucas Wurtz Hankins or Mary Ellen Ross.  By 1860, Lucas and Mary Ellen Hankins were living in Manchester, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, where they lived until Lucas' death in 1910. There was a Henry Knight living in Manchester from at least 1870 through at least 1910. It is possible that the photograph is of the wife of the Henry Knight of Manchester.  If so, then this is Mary Elizabeth (Gifford) Knight, daughter of Jeptha Fuller Gifford and Louisa Mogridge. Mary Elizabeth was born 1 May 1846 in Pennsylvania, and died on 29 June 1916 in Buckingham, Wayne County. She married Henry S Knight (1841-1913) before 1870. He was the son of George Knight and Elizabeth Hathaway. The Knights had two children Lulu (1874-1945) and Archie (1872-1958).  About the  Hankins/Ross Photo Album Previous Photo in the Album:   Susie Emma H

She married Edward Bonaparte Cregier (1860-1932).  Edward and Loretta Cregier had either three or four children. Online sources give their children as Blanche (1881-1957), Grace (1884-1922) and Sidney (1887-1927). Loretta's 1897 death notice in a local paper only mentions an infant a few weeks old.  Loretta F (Teeple) Cregier died about 1 April 1897 near Bethel, Sullivan County, New York.  More research is needed on Loretta and her children. If I find additional info, I'll update this post 25 Oct 2023 - Louretta's exact birth date added. I got her father's Civil War pension file - it had her birth date in it.  About the  Hankins/Ross Photo Album Previous Ph
