Cornell Commencement 1919 - pages 158-162

I'm very lucky to have several of my grandmother Evelyn Clara Call's (1895-1962) photo albums. And perhaps even luckier that she labeled many of the photos - so I know roughly when and where they were taken, and who was in the photos.

My grandmother attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1915-1916, and then Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1916-1919.

Pages 158 through 162 appear to photos all taken Commencement Weekend at Cornell University in 1919.

Beth

Beth - Beth Allis - Ethel Elizabeth Allis (1897-1989) daughter of Henry Selden Allis and Ethel May Pierson. Beth earned her degree in Home Economics from Cornell in 1919, the same year my grandmother earned her degree.

Mother - Elizabeth Ann Coe (1862-1956) daughter of Albert Coe (1827-1907) and Deborah Prentice (1833-1910). She married Charles Joslin Call (1859-1939)  in 1884. She was Evelyn Clara Call's mother.

Irving -  Irving Joslyn Call (1900-1995) son of Charles Joslin Call and Elizabeth Ann Coe. He married Thelma Louise Keitel (1905-1996) in 1927. He was Evelyn's younger brother.

And I believe Evelyn's father is behind Irving - or else Irving has 3 arms.

Senior Singing, June '19

I believe Evelyn and her parents are in the back seat of the car.

Evelyn is in about the middle of the photograph, to the left of Beth Allis.

Evelyn is about 2/3 of the way into the photo from the left.

Evelyn is at the far left of the photo.
