Family Photos - Summer 1919 - pages 165-168

I'm very lucky to have several of my grandmother Evelyn Clara Call's (1895-1962) photo albums. And perhaps even luckier that she labeled many of the photos - so I know roughly when and where they were taken, and who was in the photos.

My grandmother attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1915-1916, and then Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1916-1919.

Page 165 is blank.

Page 166-168 have photos of various family members taken during the summer of 1919.

Page 166 has photographs of Irving Joslyn Call at Buttermilk. The photos appear to have been taken at roughly the same time as the ones on page 158.

Irving Joslyn Call (1900-1995) son of Charles Joslin Call and Elizabeth Ann Coe. He married Thelma Louise Keitel (1905-1996) in 1927. He was Evelyn's younger brother.

Elizabeth Ann Coe (1862-1956) daughter of Albert Coe (1827-1907) and Deborah Prentice (1833-1910). She married Charles Joslin Call (1859-1939)  in 1884. She was Evelyn Clara Call's mother.

Holding Eileen Evelyn Jones (1919-2015) daughter of Malvern Smith Jones (1884-1937) and Edith Alberta Call (1989-1989). She married James Gordon Lye (1916-2000) in 1942. She was Evelyn Clara Call's niece.

Standing beside them is Alden Malvern Jones (1915-2010) son of Malvern Smith Jones and Edith Alberta Call. He married Marie Elizabeth Bennett (1917-2001) in 1941. He was Evelyn Clara Call's nephew.

Photograph was taken in the garden at the Call home on Prospect Farm in Stafford, Genesee County, New York
