Pages 192-193 Baby pictures

I'm very lucky to have several of my grandmother Evelyn Clara Call's (1895-1962) photo albums. And perhaps even luckier that she labeled many of the photos - so I know roughly when and where they were taken, and who was in the photos.

My grandmother attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1915-1916, and then Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1916-1919.

The last ten pages in the photo album have no information about when or where the photographs were taken. For some, I can make a guess - for others - your guess is as good as mine.

Pages 192-193 have unidentified photographs of babies. My guess is the children are Robert Olin Call (1919-2000), son of Charles Arthur Call (1885-1962) and Bertha May Hotchkiss (1882-1946) and Eileen Evelyn Jones (1919-2015), daughter of Edith Alberta Call (1889-1989) and Malvern Smith Jones (1884-1937).

Elizabeth Ann Coe was born 8 October 1862 in Pavillion, Genesee County, New York, the daughter of Albert Coe (1827-1907) and Deborah Prentice (1833-1910). She married Charles Joslin Call (1859-1939) on 5 November 1884 at LeRoy, Genesee County. She died on 3 November 1956 in Zephyrhills, Pasco County, Florida.

The two children in the photograph are her grandchildren, children of her older daughter Edith Alberta Call  and Malvern Smith Jones.

Alden Malvern Jones was born 17 November 1915 in Batavia, Genesee County. He married Marie Elizabeth Bennett (1917-2001) on 10 May 1940 in Mayfield, Fulton County, New York. He died on 17 May 2010 in Utica, Oneida County, New York.

Eileen Evelyn Jones was born 4 May 1919 in Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan. She married James Gordon Lye (1916-2000) on20 June 1942 in Stafford, Genesee County. She died on 22 October 2015 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.

These are the last pages in the album. Tucked into the back of album are about 50 more loose photographs. Some of these date from the 1910s, others from the 1930s. I'll start posting them in groups in future blog posts.

Previous pages in the album: Pages 188-191
