Summer at Silver Bay - 1918 - pages 123-126

I'm very lucky to have several of my grandmother Evelyn Clara Call's (1895-1962) photo albums. And perhaps even luckier that she labeled many of the photos - so I know roughly when and where they were taken, and who was in the photos.

My grandmother attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1915-1916, and then Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1916-1919.

Starting on page 115, there are 19 pages of photos from the summer of 1918 taken at Silver Bay, likely where Evelyn was a staff member at the YMCA Center at Silver Bay

Mr. Michener   Mrs. Michener

Mr & Mrs Michener - Charles C Michener was appointed U.S. Postmaster at Silver Bay, Warren County, New York in October 1918 and August 1919. In July 1921, he was appointed Postmaster at Uncas, Warren County, New York. If the Mr Michener in the photo is the same one who was appointed postmaster then he may be the Charles C Michener who married Margaret Reid

Alexandra Hague

Alexandra Hague - possibly Alexandra Hague (c 1897 - ????) who was born in Palestine. In 1930, she was living with her sister Sophie and her husband Prescott Vanalstyne in Middletown, Newport, Rhode Island. She may also be the Alexandra Hague who died in Hawaii, at the age of 94 (born in 1894) in Lebanon.
