Name's the Same - 16 Bezaleels (and counting) - Week 10 of #52Ancestors
The theme for week 10 of Amy Johnson Crow's #52Ancestors project is Name's the Same. In week three - when the theme was Namesake I wrote about the 11 Ralph Hankins' in my tree. The same side of my family includes at least 16 men named Bezaleel - all descended from the first one.

He marred Mary E Ross (1787-1846), granddaughter of Bezaleel Tyler and Sarah Calkins and had nine children. He may have been named after Bezaleel Tyler killed at the Battle of Minisink in 1779.

He married Ida King and had four children.
Bezaleel Turner, son of Ira Turner and Jane Tyler, grandson of Bezaleel Tyler and Elizabeth Appleman, born about 1848 in Pennsylvania, died after 1924.
So here you have them - the sixteen Bezaleel's I've found in my Hankins ancestry. And given how many children some of the people in this part of the family had, I'm sure there are more Bezaleels that I haven't identified yet.
You probably noticed that the Calkins, Thomas and Ross families seem to be closely intertwined with the Tyler family in the Sullivan County, New York and Wayne County, Pennsylvania area and now you'll understand why I've been known to refer to this part of my family tree looking more like a tangled plate of spaghetti than a typical family tree.
