 The sixteenth photo in the album is Harold Daniel McEwen, son of Clara Addie Coe, nephew of Elizabeth Ann Coe. 

Harold Daniel McEwen was born on 27 May1892 in Wichita, Sedgewick, Kansas, the son of James Daniel McEwen (1861-1901) and Clara Addie Coe (1864-1950). 

He married Evelyn M. Rorabaugh (1896-1972) on 12 November 1921 in Wichita. They had one daughter, Joanne (1923-2011). 

Harold lived in Wichita until sometime between 1921-1928. At various times he worked as and Agent for AVI RY, the manager of the Le Roy Hotel (owned by his mother), and a bookeeper at Steffen Bretch Ice and Ice Cream, Co. By 1928, he was living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, working as a dry goods merchant. By 1935, he was in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas where he worked as merchandiser for a department store. At the time of his death in Dalla in 1963, he worked at E.F. Hutton in Securities and Investments. 




This photograph likely dates from about 1894. 

The centered monogram with the large cursive text on the photographer's imprint would date the photograph from 1889-1894. The card style of straight cut edges, no border and coated cardstock would date the photograph from between 1888-1900. 

The photograph was taken at Baldwin & Son photography studio in Wichita. Nereus Baldwin (1840-1901) established his Wichita photography studio by 1878. By 1885, his son Frederick William (1866-1913) has joined him in the business. 

By 1892, the studio was located at 118 E. Douglas Avenue in Wichita. The Baldwin & Son studio was listed in the city directories until 1900. Between 1902-1904, Fred W Baldwin as listed as a photographer. In 1906, Mrs Moscelen Coffman and Alwinda Bullock were listed as owners of the Baldwin Studio at 118 E. Douglas Avenue.
