Carrie Evelyn Coe and her son Fred Rosman Walkley - 1895-1896 - page 14 of Charles Joslin Call and Elizabeth Ann Coe's photograph album

The twelfth photo in the album is of Carrie Evelyn Coe Walkely and her son Fred Rosman Walkley, Elizabeth Coe's sister and her oldest son.

Carrie Evelyn Coe and her twin sister Clara Addie Coe were born on 10 November 1864 in Pavilion, Genesee County, New York to Albert Coe (1827-1907) and Deborah Prentice (1833-1910).

Carrie married Frank Lincoln Walkley (1867-1961), son of Rosman L Walkley (1838-1930) and Maryetta Peck (1843-1922) on 21 June 1894 in Le Roy, Genesee County.

Carrie and her husband had five sons, Fred Rosman (1895-1981), Albert Coe (1896--1983), Clarence Willard (1898-1983), Floyd Frank (1900-1981) and James Harry (1903-1985).

They lived in Le Roy until Carrie's death on 5 August 1948. Frank died on 13 July 1961.

Fred Rosman Walkley was born on 18 May 1895 in Le Roy, son of Frank Lincoln Walkley and Carrie Evelyn Coe.

He married Marjorie Doris Aldrich (1896-1973), daughter of Clark Mason Aldrich (1875-1962) and Glennie Louis Shattuck (1875-1928) on 20 June 1918 in Castile, Wyoming County, New York.

Fred and Marjorie had three children, Glenn Evelyn (1919-2011), Frank Aldrich (1921-2009) and Betty Jane (1923-2012). They divorced in 1953.

Fred later married Norma Eiseman (1912-2004) daughter of George Edward Eiseman on 8 August 1953 in Perry, Wyoming County, New York.

Fred lived in several locations as an adult. In 1917, he was teaching agriculture in Castile, Wyoming County. In 1920, he was the Assistant Manager at a Farm Bureau in Wampoville, Madison County, New York. In 1930 and 1940, he was back in Castile where he was a merchant at a farm supply store.

Fred Rosman Walkley died on 8 April 1981 in Osceala, Florida.

Based on Fred's age in the photograph, it was likely taken in late 1895 or early 1896, since he was born in May 1895.

The photographer was George M. Hoffman (1867-1952), son of Wesley Hoffman (1824-1900) and Elizabeth McMartin (1824-1896). In 1900, his occupation was listed in the census as photographer. By 1910, his occupation was listed as painter.
