Silver Lake - Silver Lake is located in Wyoming County, New York. The towns of Silver Lake, Castile and Perry (where the Call's Cole cousins lived) are on the lake. Silver Lake is located about 20 miles from Stafford where the Call's lived. Charlotte Joslin Call purchased two plots of land at Silver Lake in 1886. From the "Memories of the Calls 25" I learned that
"Then they [Robert and Charlotte] bought the lot at Silver Lake and built the Call Cottage for the benefit and pleasure of their children and other relatives. Later they bought the lot west of the cottage so there wouldn't be another too close to it. Before the Cottage was built, we often rented tents and attended meetings from them. " From the 1880's onward, there were frequent mentions in the local newspapers about various members of the family spending time at Silver Lake.
